Lady Gaga is channeling another famous Lady on the cover of latest issue of V Magazine–Lady Liberty, that is. Gaga, as always, put her own spin on the iconic figure, donning a black bra and panties and a crown made of pale blonde hair. Designer Marc Jacobs also shares the cover in a sleek black tuxedo. Inside, a world-weary Jacobs pushes a bedraggled Lady Gaga–wearing some fierce, vertigo-inducing platforms–in a shopping cart. It looks like they’ve got a long way to go to Ellis Island.

Here’s what V Magazine editor Stephen Gan had to say about the cover and Gaga:

My eye is always looking for something new and fashion. And this season clogs was on my shopping list. I bought them from Topshop *version of Chanel's wooden clogs*. They are comfortable, and yes, they give me  the height of a platform without the bunions.
